About Joanna Badami
Joanna Badami is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the head of Joanna Badami Appraisals Ltd., a full service appraisal firm, qualified and experienced in appraisal of household furnishings, both antique and non-antique, including furniture, silver, porcelain, glass, rugs, fine arts, such as paintings, drawings and prints. In addition, there are specialists available for gems and jewelry, and books and manuscripts.
All appraisals are executed according to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices, (USPAP), as put forth by the Appraisal Foundation, Washington, D.C.
For more than 25 years, Joanna Badami of Joanna Badami Appraisals Ltd., has established an untarnished professional reputation in working with private clients, leading insurance companies and law firms, both in Manhattan and Long Island, historical societies and museums. She has been an expert witness in the Nassau and Suffolk Court systems. Hi Joanna,
I wanted to let you know that Allstate paid us the full appraised amount, including the tax, for the stolen pieces of the sterling silver tea set. Thanks to my great insurance agent, the adjuster did not deduct your fees for the appraisal from the appraised amount, although she did try to. So thanks to you and my agent, the settlement was more than double what the Insurance company initially figured. Despite the unfortunate and unpleasant circumstances of the theft, it was a pleasure to work with you. Your professionalism is just great.
